Airport Security has recently invited a new addition to their family...body scans. These machines see beneath the clothing, X-Ray machines if you will. It kind of reminds me of Jeff Dunham's superhero puppet. In the skit they joke about X-Ray vision, of course making it a sexual joke. The whole skit sounds ridiculous, which it is. So are these body scanners. The options security gives passengers, in reality is choosing the lesser of two evils. Do I want them to scan my body with a machine or do I want them to feel me up? Difficult question right? This is a question we should not have to answer. I was watching the news and Airport Security was patting down a little girl. The girl was crying and screaming, begging the man to stop touching her. Imagine if that was your daughter or son. How would you feel? I do not have children, but I can say that I would not allow it. This is an invasion of privacy. Many people argue that they feel safer. Hate to break it to all of these people, but this does not make us safer. Terrorists, unfortunately, are like computer hackers, one step ahead of us. We're searching bodies, while they have progressed to other methods. We have to stop searching for things used in the past and start thinking a few steps ahead of them. Then, and only then will we be safe. This topic is hitting the media by storm and it is fascinating to see and hear some arguments. Anne Coulter was recently on The O'Reilly Factor and made a few great points. One in particular was about check-in luggage. It is scary to think of the lack of security in regards to check-in luggage. We need to tighten this security, rather than feeling up little girls.

I agree. What about passengers that come to Our country from overseas. They are not subjected to this invasive procedure. What's next body cavity searches. What happened to Our 4th Amendment Rights. When you start over looking and by passing the Constitution, you are no longer FREE and the terrorist win. Nothing is more important than Our Freedom.
@anonymous, people from overseas aren't subject to pat downs? Where'd you get that info from?
I've been to Newark Airport and watched the demonstration of their new body scanner and saw exactly what the X-ray image looks like from the controller room. The security agent who was a female, looked at each passenger and was only looking for objects protruding from the side the body, like a knife or other weapon. Since every humans skeletal make up is the same, the security guard can easily pick out an object that isn't supposed to be there. The image blurs the face of the passenger so they cannot be recognized and the image is deleted once the passenger is cleared by security.
@anonymous And were really letting the “terrorists win” when we loosen our airport security and open the doors for terrorists to slip through insufficient pat downs. They’ll really be winning when they hi-jack another commercial plane full of passengers and fly it into a city full of thousands of people. THAT’S letting them win. They don’t think “Yes, they over looked their constitution, we win!” They look for us to become weaker and follow our constitution, they want us to complain about how terrible the pat downs are, how they are too invasive and that they go against our 4th amendment rights. You might as well be a terrorist because your comments are brainwashing the american public into fighting for looser security pat downs at airports.
