Farewell

It has been quite some time since I posted anything of this blog. I have recently explored other aspects of broadcasting and decided to focus on them. I do enjoy politics, but would like to focus on other topics rather than politics in my upcoming career. This is not a goodbye nor am I saying I will never go into politics within broadcasting. Rather, this is a see you later. This does not mean if I am offered a job in broadcasting concerning politics, I will say no. Most likely I would accept the job, however I would like to focus on other things.

See you soon,

Donald Trump 2012

I know this post is old news, but school has prevented me from keep up on posting. I started this post the day Mr. Trump's speech was released, however it was difficult to find time to finish it. I apologize for that. Mr. Trump's speech was bold, which of course you would expect from him. I admire the fact that he speaks his mind and is not afraid to step on a few toes. He is a business man, which is what this country needs right now. A business man truly understands that you cannot spend money you do not have, commonsense right? However, this piece of commonsense seems to be lacking in politics and government recently. For every dollar the Federal Government they spend approximately $1.44. A good businessman, or average person, knows you cannot sustain that pattern. Mr. Trump's conservative ideals, I believe is exactly what this country needs. The fact that he is a business man is an added bonus for this country. Please watch the videos and let me know what you think!

Heath Care Bill....Unconstitutional

Florida judge ruled the recent Health Care Bill, Unconstitutional. Obamacare, nicknamed by many, has been at the top of the list of controversy. The mandate, that was even more controversial than the whole bill in general, will force Americans to have health insurance. The government cannot, constitutionally, force a citizen to get or do anything. However, there is a clause called the Commerce Clause that can force something upon a citizen based off of activity. For example, if you have your license and drive a motor vehicle you must buy car insurance, because it was your choice to get your license and drive. The Commerce Clause however does not cover the Health Care Law because not having health insurance and not doing anything about it is inactivity. It is expected that the Health Care Bill will make its way up to the Supreme Court, which it has been expected to be ruled as unconstitutional. I myself am hoping it is ruled as unconstitutional. The Health Care Bill should be repealed and needs more work in order to serve American citizens better. A public option should be added to this bill in order for it to serve a more positive purpose.

MTV's New Show Is Showing Too Much "Skin"

MTV aired their new show "Skins" Monday January 17th. This show is an adaptation of England's version. The show is a fictional representation of the very "real" lives of teenagers. Everything from sex to drugs to eating disorders is represented in the show. "In addition to the sexual content on the show involving cast members as young as 15, PTC counted 42 depictions and references to drugs and alcohol in the premiere episode,"-Parents Television Council (MSNBC).

"Taco Bell has pulled its ads off "Skins" after the Parents Television Council urged a boycott."-MSNBC

"Word of a 17-year-old actor alternating between being naked and appearing aroused for a length of time in the Jan. 31 episode has prompted outrage from the Parents Television Council -- resulting in a sponsor (Taco Bell) abandoning the series and concerns that "Skins" might be in danger of violating federal child pornography statutes." -Fox News

I believe this show is a disgrace. Many argue it is just an accurate depiction of what "normal" teenagers doing what "normal" teenagers do. I believe I was a "normal" teenager, but I was never involved in the activities presented in this show. MTV has once again crosses the line. This show is right there with 16 and Pregnant and Jersey Shore. It presents to teenagers a false reality, making it seem as if it is alright to participate in sex, drugs, and drinking. They make it seem as if there are no repercussions from their actions. MTV's upcoming episode on January 30th with alleged child pornography is repulsive! Not only is it absolutely revolting, but also illegal! I do not know how MTV can get around the law; the only answer is to cancel the episode. This show is an absolute disgrace. I applaud Taco Bell for removing their advertisements during this program.

Media Oversight

Facebook has been an outlet for Sarah Palin haters to express violence towards the former Governor of Alaska. These images would be attacked by the Left if they had been towards any Left-Winged official and has been attacked in the past. How are these images any different than the images used on the Right? The groups name of the image on the left is "I hate it when I wake up and Sarah Palin is still alive" the image on the right is part of "If Sarah Palin becomes President in 2012, then I hope the world ends." Why doesn't the Left denounce these images like they have in the past for images from the Right?

Left-wing has continually attacked Sarah Palin this past week for her use the cross hair imagery. It is convenient that the Left has left out the constant violent attacks against Right Wing officials. The image below is a perfect example. In 2004 the Democratic Leadership Council released this image along with a strategy to gain states from Republicans. This looks awfully similar to the imagery used by Sarah Palin. On the bottom of the image the DLC refers to Republican held states as "enemy lines." Click here to see the full article!
Left-wing media has attacked Conservative leadership and media violently on multiple occasions, however for the majority, the mass media has neglected to report it.

MONTEL WILLIAMS (1:30:32): September 2nd 2009: Michelle [Bachmann], slit your wrist. Go ahead... or, do us all a better thing. Move that knife up about two feet. Start right at the collarbone.

MIKE MALLOY: “Some horrifyingly intense America-hater like Rush Limbaugh, who appears to be morphing into, seriously, he is morphing into Jabba the Hutt. Um, I’ve seen some recent video, this guy is enormous. He just keeps bloating up. It’s, it’s just, I hope he keeps going because that means he will soon croak. Like I said, eventually, he will choke to death on his own throat fat.”

ED SHULTZ: “You’re damn right, Dick Cheney's heart's a political football,” Schultz said in remarks recorded by the media blog Radio Equalizer. “We ought to rip it out and kick it around and stuff it back in him."

Where was the media when Ed Shutlz said to rip out Dick Cheney's heart? The mass media is so one sided they have become blind reality.

Please Take a Moment of Silence

I'm sure everyone has heard about the tragic events in Tucson, Arizona Saturday morning. Lives were lost and lives were shattered in only a few brief moments. Six lives were unjustly taken. John Roll, a federal judge; Gabriel Zimmerman, who worked as a staffer for Giffords; Christina Greene, 9 born on 9/11/01; Phyllis Scheck, 79; Dorothy Morris, 76; and Dorwin Stoddard, 76. Please pray for these families who lost their son, their daughter, their grandmother, their brother, their sister, their wife, their husband, and their friend. Please pray for the 14 victims wounded and please pray for their families as well. Please pray for Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, for her speedy and full recovery, and pray for her family as well.

I will touch briefly on the ridiculous political warfare circulating in the mass media. I feel that neither side should give this outrageous notion the time of day. Yes, it was started by the left wing media, however it should not have been carried on by either side. This is a matter of personal responsibility, not political influence. This man acted on his own will, not for the supposed right wing cause.

Please take the time to think of the victims of this horrible event, rather than pointing fingers.

"We must reject the idea that every time a law's broken, society is guilty rather than the lawbreaker. It is time to restore the American precept that each individuals is accountable for his actions."

Pause Before You Play: Bristol and Mike the Situation

Candies recently came out with a commercial promoting both abstinence and safe sex starring Bristol Palin and Mike the Situation. Many people criticized Bristol's mother, Sarah Palin, for being a hypocrite for promoting abstinence. A parent cannot control 100% of the actions and decisions made by their children. It is impossible. Bristol is taking the heat now for making this commercial and promoting abstinence calling her a hypocrite. I find this utterly ridiculous. Who better to promote the cause than someone that knows first hand the results? It is like someone who used to smoke cigarettes, quit, then promoted an anti-smoking campaign. Bristol knows first hand how hard it is to be a teen mom. I feel like the media is against promoting abstinence and feels Bristol is going against the curve. Schools today very briefly talk about abstinence, rather they have representatives from Planned Parenthood come in and teach the students how to use a condom. Abstinence is not "cool" which I never understood. I didn't think it was cool to have a child at 16 with a list of STIs. Teen pregnancy is on the rise and I for one congratulate Bristol and her efforts. Why are we condemning someone for saying yea I made a mistake I love my son, but abstinence is the way to go? Any opinions on this?
